Nestled not far from the shores of Lake Hindmarsh, Jeparit Primary School is a vital part of the town of Jeparit (pop. 477), located 70 km north of Horsham in the Wimmera, in far western Victoria. With a 2019 enrolment of 21 children, the school overlooks the picturesque Wimmera River.
Jeparit Primary School offers students excellent grounds and buildings. The grounds are spacious (for a small school) and adjoin the local outdoor swimming centre (owned by the school and managed by Hindmarsh Shire Council) and the recreation reserve. A large covered court area allows for wet weather games and sport.
Our staff believe in supporting our students academically and from a personal and social development perspective. Our excursions and camps are conducted to ensure that all students, though at a smaller school, have the same opportunities as anywhere in the state.
